Flameaway filly turns up the heat for first stakes win

Burner Account drew off to a 5 ¾-length victory in Monday’s $75,000 Main Line S. at Parx to give the 3-year-old daughter of Flameaway her first stakes victory.

Burner Account was a gate-to-wire winner of the 1 1/16-mile contest. She controlled the pace throughout and was never seriously threatened except in upper stretch, when Maximus Angelicus got within a half-length before Burner Account re-rallied to win going away.

Burner Account, who was a seven-length allowance winner in her previous start, is now 3-0-0 in six starts and has earned $90,255. The chestnut filly is owned by Holiday Luck Racing and was bred by Richard Brenner and Cheryl Sprick.

The first foal out of Win Money My Honey, Burner Account hails from the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Stately Victory and Collect the Cash.

A top-10 sire with each of his first two crops, Flameaway is once again in the top 10 on this year’s Third-Crop sire list. He stands in 2025 for an advertised fee of $15,000 S&N.
